AUDIENCE WARMS TO NUEVO DUO JOURNEY
On one of the Tweed Valley's most spectacular winter days, soft sunlight, clear skies, rolling green hills and birdsong, the village of Tyalgum played host to two superb musicians – violinist Wayne Brennan and violist Raquel Bastos – in a program spanning centuries, from early Renaissance to Bartok and sultry Piazzola tangos.

Perfectly delivered and enthusiastically received by the audience, this was a truly sublime concert. Nuevo Duo is a gem in the Australian musical scene – virtuosity, melancholy, fun, sensuous – describe the emotional journey taken by this Duo with a superb gift for programming and mastery of their instruments. We thank our Friends and audience, as always, who are so supportive of the Tyalgum Festival and other events the Committee presents through the year. We look forward to seeing you at the "main event" in September for much, much more of this exciting and very beautiful music making!
